The government is preparing to take action against those carrying dual citizenship

The fact that some Nepali nationals who have left Nepal and gone abroad have not renounced their Nepali citizenship. Here is a legal provision that those who take citizenship of another country abroad have to give up Nepali citizenship. The concept of dual citizenship is not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution and Citizenship of Nepal and if found to be so, it is clearly mentioned in the Act that strict action will be taken as per the prevailing law.

COVID-19 Update: Caseload Stands At 18,374 With 133 New Cases, 107 Recovered

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 133 COVID-19 cases Friday. In 3,987 Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests performed in the last 24 hours, as many as 133 persons were found with the virus infection, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam in the daily press briefing today.

Transportation Service Resumes

Transportation entrepreneurs have resumed public transportation service inside the Kathmandu Valley and other districts from Thursday. As per the decision of the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Association, most of the transportation companies have resumed their service as per the demand of the passengers.

Palung-Naubise Road Section Obstructed

The Palung-Naubise road section along the Tribhuvan Highway has come to a halt. Police Inspector of Area Police Office Khanikhola Ruk Bahadur Khadka informed a landslide occurred at Satghumti along the road section since this morning disrupted the road traffic here.

Swab Samples Collection Of Workers Searching Jobs Begins

Collection of swab samples of the workers who are being gathered at Tribhuvan Chowk of Nepalgunj in search for work has started. Banke district’s corona focal person Naresh Shrestha said the swab collection began from Thursday onward.

Dumre road section along the Prithvi Highway has been disrupted again. Traffic along the highway remained obstructed again following the vehicles got stuck on the alternative route.

Sample collection at community levels begins in Kathmandu Valley

As many as six people have been infected with Covid-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours. Tests conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku, has confirmed coronavirus infection in five people from Kathmandu and one from Lalitpur.
